On Friday, 12 September 2025, a SpiceJet De Havilland Dash 8 Q400 operating as a scheduled domestic passenger service from Kandla Airport (IXY) to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai, was involved in an unusual in-flight occurrence. At approximately 14:12 local time, during the take-off roll at Kandla, the aircraft’s right-hand outboard wheel separated mid-runway. A passenger on board recorded video footage showing the wheel rolling away as the aircraft continued it
