DECATUR — Firefighters could soon begin responding to calls from their newest station, a multimillion-dollar facility on West Mound Road that will serve Decatur's north side.
Decatur Fire & Rescue Chief Nathan Springer said his department responds to all fires and medical calls within the city and the police jurisdiction, a 1½-mile area around the city in Morgan County.
