Oliver Tree, the California-born singer-songwriter and rapper known for tracks like "Life Goes On," "When I'm Down" and "Miss You," died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, according to CNN Brazil.

American singer and comedian Oliver Tree was listed among the six passengers Sunday in a deadly helicopter crash in Brazil.

Prior to the crash, the singer-songwriter was on his world tour to promote his fourth studio album Love You Madly, Hate You Badly, released this April.
